Our Path Is Saved

When I spoke at the "Kiss Your Path Goodbye" protest rally to save the Jesmond path on 11 December 2016, I ended my speech by holding up my smartphone and purchasing the domain "OurPathIsSaved.com", and looking forward to the day when I could make use of it. Although it was a bit theatrical, it was in earnest. I actually purchased the domain. And in hope, I renewed the domain for another year in December 2017. On 1 May 2018, the Roads and Maritime Services released an updated design for the Rankin Park to Jesmond bypass, and it is good news!

The Jesmond cycleway is to be retained as a grade separated path with a combination of a bridge over the entry/exit lanes and a short tunnel under the bypass.

So this (one page) website is for you good people who turned up to protest that Sunday morning in December 2016. Thanks.
